New Managers at The Casa Blanca Inn

The Casa Blanca Inn welcomes it's new managers; Nick and Jenny Santos!
The Santos' relocated from the Central Colorado Rocky Mountains where they managed a 14 room lodge just outside of Rocky Mountain National Park. Along with their 3 children they are making Farmington, NM their new home. They bring a wealth of experience to the Casa Blanca from their past positions in California, Colorado and Florida. Living and visiting Farmington, NM puts you a stones throw away from all that the Four Corners Region has to offer. A short drive in any direction from the Casa Blanca Inn and you can experience Native Culture,and Amazing Natural Wonders during any season !

Spring is in Bloom at Blue Lake Ranch!

Guests of The Don Gaspar Inn, Casa Blanca Inn, and Blue Lake Ranch who treasure our beautiful gardens will delight in the Blue Lake Ranch and the Ridgewood Event Center’s annual Iris and Bedding Plant Sale. Join us on Saturday, June 12 and Sunday, June 13 from 9 AM to 2:30 PM to see over 10,000 Iris in bloom. The Ranch will also feature hard to find bedding plants such as Heirloom Hollyhocks, reseeding Petunias, Colorado Columbines, and Flander's Poppies. Take home some plants or seeds for your own garden, or just come by to soak in the beauty of David's fields of flowers!

Wildlife in Farmington

When guests of The Casa Blanca Inn want a taste of wildlife, we recommend a visit to the Riverside Nature Center in Animas Park where a unique variety of birds and animals can be observed. From large windows overlooking a wetland where food and water attract wildlife, you will experience a close look at the plants and animals of the riverside and their historic role in local ecosystems. In addition, herb and xeriscape demonstration gardens are provided.

Whimsical Puppets in Imaginary Lands

The Casa Blanca Inn is perfectly situated to enjoy local Farmington events, like the Gateway to Imagination workshop featured at the Farmington Museum.

This two-day puppet-making workshop features projects built from paper mache, dowels, and fabric. Once finished, participants will have an opportunity to bring their puppets to life in the gallery and display them in a public art. Puppet making is featured on May 14th, from 6 PM to 8:30 PM, and May 15th from 10 AM to 12:30 PM. Children grades 1 through 5 are welcome to attend. Space is limited.

The Farmington Museum highlights the Four Corners region's settlement as a farming center, along with Anasazi history and Navajo culture. Four Corners Oil and Gas Conference

Casa Blanca Inn welcomes 2010 Four Corners Oil & Gas Conference attendees to Farmington May 12th – 13th. As members of the energy market arrive, our innkeepers will be available to meet your accommodation and personal needs.

This year’s conference promises to be the largest to date since the first Four Corners Oil & Gas Conference in 1994. Since its inception, the goal of this conference has been to provide information on new types of technology plus new and changing regulations that affect the oil and gas industry.

New Mexico is ranked as the fourth largest gas and sixth largest oil producing state in the United States. The San Juan Basin, located in northwestern New Mexico and Southwestern Colorado, is a major gas producing region.. With over 20,000 producing wells, The San Juan Basin has produced more than 370 million barrels of oil and nearly 38 trillion cubic feet of gas.

Canyon de Chelly National Monument

Located in the Four Corners region, the Casa Blanca Inn provides a central location to historic natural landscapes and national treasures. Canyon de Chelly is one of the longest continuously inhabited landscapes of North America. Containing archeological resources that span more than 4,000 years of human occupation, the monument encompasses approximately 84,000 acres of lands located entirely on the Navajo Nation with roughly 40 families residing within the park boundaries. When you visit, you will see distinctive architecture, artifacts, and rock imagery with great historical and spiritual significance. Canyon de Chelly is a unique national park, as it is comprised entirely of Navajo Tribal Trust Land that remains home to the canyon community. Free Shuttle to Live Horse Racing at Sunray Park

When you visit The Casa Blanca Inn this spring and summer, you will receive free shuttle service to and from the area’s most exciting entertainment venues, courtesy of Sunray Park. Live races are featured May 1 through July 4, Thursday through Sunday. Post time is 2:15 PM.

Sunray Park & Casino, located off Highway 64, between Farmington and Bloomfield, in front of the McGee Park Coliseum, offers entertainment and dining year round. For more information call 505-566-1200.
