Angel Peak Scenic Area

The Casa Blanca Inn is surrounded by scenic areas, reserves, and parks, each offering their unique history and natural beauty.

Thirty miles southeast of Farmington is the Angel Peak Scenic Area, with more than 10,000 acres of rugged terrain recognized for its scenery and scientific wonders. The nearly 7,000-foot Angel Peak is a landmark composed of river deposited sandstone from the San Jose Formation. This landscape is more than 60 million years old and boasts a panoramic view of the canyon.

Visitors can enjoy activities such as hiking, photography, watchable wildlife, camping, and picnicking in three picnic area along the canyon rim overlooking Angel Peak and the Kutz Canyon badlands. Angel Peak Campground has nine sites available for tent camping. Of course, be sure to start or end your trip with a nice relaxing stay at the Casa Blanca Inn.
