New Mexico Women's Foundation
Guests of the Casa Blanca Inn will be attending many events supporting the Navajo Nation and other native people groups throughout the year.
On Saturday, November 7th, the New Mexico Women's Foundation will present the Rage Rug Festival and Design Collective at Farmington Museum at Gateway Park. The event will include handcrafted art, jewelry, rag rugs, original books, hand-dyed yarns, knitted fashions, and tote bags made out of recycled rice bags and flour bags, and a chance to see the work of Weaving groups such as Torreon Community Store, a non-profit organization promoting self-reliant community development in the Torreon/Star Lake Chapter of the Navajo Nation; Ramah Navajo Weavers Association from Pine Hill, and Loose Ends, a Bhutanese family group from Ablequerque. The Farmington Museum at Gateway Park is located at 3041 East Main Street. The event hours are 10am-4pm and admission is free.
